Oh shit. Oh lord. Oh-my-ever-loving-God. This is serious. You are using emoticons. That is F-in’ insane, dude! You have truly lost your mind. Or your heart. I’m guessing both given the length and feeling behind that last entry. Whoa …

In my entry about getting it on with MK on the roof, I was like, “Uh… and we made out.” But you went on for two, maybe three paragraphs about the whole thing. Forget critic or sculptor or professional kisser/whore. I think you may have a future writing Harlequin romance novel, (ha)

Gotta say, though … I never thought it would come to this. That is, you and Henri making out. But I’m glad, because you sound like a different person almost. Or at least a happy one. Again, though, I just want to put in some friendly advice. It does seem like all your fun with Henri either comes out of or is a part of smoking pot or drinking or whatever. I know, from my sister, that that might be a bit of a problem. But I really don’t know Henri enough to see if he’s taking it too far or if it’s just casual, stupid fun. I do know you and have not known you to be such a partier, minus New Year’s, of course.

Just remember: The next time H orders up a bottle of wine or grabs one out of the basement, you can just say “no thanks.” Don’t feel like you have to do everything this guy suggests, most of which seems to be on the bad side of the law. And please—don’t get all bent at me for saying this. I don’t want to ruin your good time. Seriously. I just want to make sure it’s your good time and not something he’s forcing on you, you know? Maybe I’m too sensitive to all this stuff because of my sister. But it’s probably better to be too sensitive than not sensitive at all, right? Especially given my choice of career, (ha)

Speaking of which, we finally got to move into the theater where we’ll be putting on Merrily. This place is sweet! It’s UMD’s new Smith Center main stage, which is like a real, professional theater. Nothing like that massive “assemblytorium” we have at Einstein. It’s about half the size of that monster, seating 500, with nice wood walls and hi-tech lighting and even carpet. And the seats are fancy too, red-velvety and semi-stadium style so everyone can see me onstage!

When we walked into the place this afternoon, we all stood at the center of the stage looking out on all those empty seats and you know what? That alone was a trip. It just feels like a completely real theater where real people would put down real money to see a real show! LOL Not that I’m deluded into believing we are on Broadway or anything. But even if it’s gonna be our parents and best friends in the audience, at least the illusion is there that it’s something semi-real.
